DIRECT YOUR DREAMTIME
Did you know that whatever you are thinking about before you go to sleep has the potential to influence your dreams? No one really knows for sure what dreaming is all about. The dominant theory explaining DREAMS comes from Freud & Jung. They postulated that when we are asleep, our unconscious mind is at work organizing, assimilating & bringing relief/assistance to our conscious mind by storing information for later use. The conscious mind can attend to a finite number of thoughts at one time. Some people are more adept at this, multi-tasking & working on several projects/ideas at the same time. Some people can “shift gears” more easily than others, transitioning from one project to another, keeping their focus of attention on what they consciously choose to focus on. Others have a difficult time staying focused; their attention is captured either by outside environmental triggers/influences or inside-unconscious distractions.

Hypnotherapy can help increase self-control of thoughts. It can also be used to direct your dream-time experiences. I learned this technique in undergraduate school from my sociology professor, Norman Layne, Ph.D. As part of a class project, students were assigned specific tasks to think about before going to sleep. We had to keep a journal at our bedside & upon waking, immediately write about what we remembered from our dreams. (If the dreamer waits even a few minutes, valuable information could be lost, so writing as soon as you wake up is imperative to ensure successful dream analysis.)
Whether you want to simply direct your dreams or analyze them, this hypnotherapy program will help you make the most out of the “work” being done by your unconscious mind.
